In Denton County,TX at the Rayzor Ranch, we found several different types of nautiloids and ammonites. First we found Cymatoceras sp, which is a nautiloid. In addition, we found Mariella worthensis (similar to turrilites) of all sizes, up to about 7 inches in diameter and up to 10 inches tall. Their ornamentation is very beautiful and make them very distinctive. We also found Metengonoceras sp fragments in abundance. This is in the Cretaceous Grayson Marl Formation (c. 97mya).
